The Snow Globe

Created by Acorn Cottage Press

The Snow Globe is more than a picture book—it's the beginning of a family tradition. When a group of woodland friends sets out to create a special gift for someone who always gives to others, they discover that the greatest gifts aren't found in a store.

Smoke Surveys are Out and Surveys Soon to Follow
25 days ago – Mon, Oct 05, 2026 at 08:43:41 AM

What is a Smoke Survey? It is a test survey sent out to a small percentage of backers - so in my case 6 backers are receiving the survey (it is the real survey) to make sure there are no issues with the survey in general. Please fill these out as soon as possible so that I can get the surveys sent out to everyone and start shipping everything out.

Look at this stack of donated books! Please consider adding on additional - I lowered it to $10 each to donate in the survey to hopefully give even more books to children who need to be hospitalized during the holidays. Thank you for your support!

Love,
Katie

We Did It!

Thank you everyone for all of your support and generosity! I cannot wait to stack up books to donate to the children's hospital! I am working on creating the survey - please fill it out, even if you only have a digital pledge as I would like to send everyone a sticker in the mail as a thank you for your support!

I've decided on this illustration for the limited edition art print and working on getting that printed now.

Less Than 24 Hours Left to Fund The Snow Globe
30 days ago – Wed, Sep 30, 2026 at 06:29:12 PM

Thank you to everyone who is with me on this crowdfunding journey - we are in the final stretch and we have about $700 to go. Can we make it? Will we make it?

It feels tight - but my fingers are crossed that we can cross the finish line. In exciting news - the linen dolls arrived today and they are so adorable and full of personality.

If you would like to add a Handcrafted Elf and/or Reindeer, Bear, or Fox - there is still time and that would go a LONG way in getting The Snow Globe to fund. I also hope to donate A lot of copies to children in the hospital over the holidays.

The woodland dolls are now available as add-ons!
about 1 month ago – Wed, Sep 23, 2026 at 10:12:27 AM

The woodland dolls are now available as add-ons!

Reindeer won the most votes, but I couldn’t resist including a few of his friends, too. Bear, the photographer; Fox, who makes art from the treasures he finds in nature; and Deer, the woodcarver, are all ready to join the adventure.

These dolls are super limited: there are only 3 Fox dolls, 6 Bear dolls, and 6 Deer dolls available. If you have a favorite, you can add them to your pledge now!
